Description

Produces fragrant, pure white flowers that open at dusk and remain open through the night, producing a sweet vanilla-like fragrance to attract hawkmoths and nocturnal moths. Hybridises with S. dioica to produce pink-flowered intermediate ‘pink campion’. Family Caryophyllaceae.
