Description
Radicchio Palla Rossa is an early heading selection of this increasingly popular vegetable. Firm red heads with attractive white veins. Can also be sown and left unthinned for ‘salad leaves’ adding zest and a hint of bitterness to the mixed salad.
How To Grow
Sow 6mm (quarter-inch) deep in trays of seed compost. Transplant when seedlings are large enough to handle, spacing 30cm (12in) between plants and rows. Keep well watered and feed with complete fertiliser.
