Puya mirabilis SEEDS

Description

Puya mirabilis seeds grow into a terrestrial bromeliad native to the subtropical biome of Bolivia and north-western Argentina from the Andean slopes and rocky highlands of the southern Andes. The epithet mirabilis means ‘wonderful’ or ‘marvellous’. A member of subfamily Puyoideae forming a compact, ornamental ground-level rosette of stiff, spiny-margined leaves, producing tall, striking flower scapes with vivid tubular flowers above the rosette during the flowering season. One of the more frequently cultivated South American Puya species, valued for its compact habit and ornamental character. Family Bromeliaceae.
