  • Requires full sun and well-drained loamy soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5.

2. Germination & Planting:

  • Cold stratify seeds: Soak in water for 24 hours, then refrigerate in moist paper towels for 46 weeks.

  • After stratification, sow seeds 1 inch deep in seed-starting mix.

  • Keep soil moist and warm (7075F) for optimal germination.

  • Germination time: 38 weeks.

3. Transplanting:
