Description
Antheum graveolens
Produces a beautiful herb with aromatic fern-like foliage. Plants grow to 30cm (12″) in height. Fernleaf dill makes a lovely container plant. A great plant for those gardeners that grow dill mostly for the leaves. And of course like all other dill, it is attractive to butterflies!
Annual
Approx. 75 seeds/pkt
How to Grow
In a sunny site with average soil, direct-sow seeds no more than 6mm (1/4″) deep and 2.5cm (1″) apart. Seeding can be done anytime from mid-April through mid-July. Successive sowings every two to three weeks work best. Thin out seedlings to 15cm (6″) apart in the garden. Seed exposure to light benefits germination. When flower head begins to brown, cut the entire head off and hang it upside down over a tray or bag to collect the mature seed as it falls out.
