Description
Planting Instructions: Sow Calochortus seeds about 1/4 to 3/4 inch deep in well-drained, gritty sandy soil or a porous mix with sand and peat moss. Cold-moist stratify seeds for 4-6 weeks at about 5C (41F) before planting to break dormancy. Maintain even moisture without waterlogging, using bottom watering to prevent seed displacement. Plant seeds in fall or late autumn outdoors, or start indoors in late winter. Seedlings emerge in 2-6 months, with summer dormancy after growth.
