This British-bred bicolored red and white flower variety boasts earlier, heavier cropping, superior quality, smoother, fleshy, pale green 25-30cm pods compared to ‘Painted Lady’. The straight pods of Runner Bean St George possess a good ‘snap’ with minimal string or fibre when harvested regularly while young.
