Description
One of the first heirloom beans to grace our catalogue pages, this bean is now produced exclusively on site in our preservation and production garden at Dromana. Bearing a crop early in the season, the stringless flat green pods remain crisp and tender for an extended harvest. An early maturing romano-type pole bean with unusual cold-tolerance, it’s named after the cold winds that blow in from the Western North Atlantic ocean, and while this bean has its roots in Italy, it’s legacy is found a home in the United States.
