Description
Fortnight Iris – Moraea bicolor. Attractive, light yellow, iris-like flowers with vivid maroon blotches loom on stiff stalks over neat iris-like foliage. Useful in rock gardens or near swimming pools, this reliable evergreen perennial needs full sun. It’s a moderate grower to 2 – 3 feet tall with wide clumps. Blooms seem to come in 2-week bursts, hence the name ‘Fortnight Iris.’ Delicate, unusual, outstanding flower form. Seed grown. Hardy in zones 8-11.
